Testomniac was born from firsthand frustration with the testing bottleneck, the gap between how fast you can build and how confident you can be in what ships.

Origin

Testomniac is the brainchild of John Huang, who was inspired by his own experience leading engineering teams through the early days of AI-assisted development. As AI coding agents became a core part of the workflow, John noticed a consistent pattern: the speed gains from AI-generated code were frequently eroded by the time spent manually verifying that nothing had broken.

The problem wasn't just engineering capacity; it was a structural gap. Teams were adopting AI for code generation without the corresponding infrastructure to catch what AI gets wrong. Front-end regressions, subtle UX breakage, flows that worked last week but silently stopped, and these were slipping through because manual QA couldn't keep pace.

Testomniac was built to close that gap. Not by adding headcount, not by requiring engineers to write more tests manually, but by applying AI intelligently to the problem of test creation, then stepping aside so execution runs fast and cost-free.
